Crime, Mystery, and Intrigue

We’ve always love reading mysteries, science fiction and adventure. We really love the stories in the old Pulp Fiction magazines that were popular in the early and mid twentieth century. In 2016, we started a website to sell books made from the stories published in those magazines. That web site is The Pulp Fiction Book Store.

In 2025 we conceived of Hard Boiled Books as a site dedicated to connecting readers with the most gripping crime, mystery, and espionage novels from the past. But we also thought that we could showcase some really good contemporary writers too. Whether they’re brand new to your attention, up-and-comers, or old hands, we think you’re going to enjoy our unique selections of crime, mystery and thriller writers.
